Cutting Fish

Cutting Fish along the Novakaket River

Actually the Novakaket is a Yukon river slough where the Nowitna river enters the Yukon.

This is a typical scene of daily life at fish camp.  Cutting fish is usually done in the afternoon after the fish are brought back to camp from the fish wheels.
